In 2012, a local family and trusted friends with years of combined healthcare experience got together and agreed that there was a need for exceptional senior care Rockport and surrounding areas. From there, Anthem Home Care was created! With veterans among our founders, patriotism is of paramount importance in our culture and philosophy, and is threaded through everything we do to foster freedom and independence for the seniors we’re privileged to serve.
Our goal is to help seniors and their families feel at ease, knowing that we will provide the highest quality, fully trained and compassionate caregivers who will take care without taking charge. We truly are passionate about allowing plenty of time to listen to the older generation, for whom we have the greatest respect and admiration. We learn what’s important to them, and then work hard to make sure to honor their desired lifestyle, routines, and preferences. Tasha Burnett — Executive Director
Inspired by her personal experiences of both loved ones and clients managing the challenges of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and cancer, Tasha is committed to ensuring that Anthem Home Care clients receive high quality, compassionate care that promotes independence and safety in the comfort of home. She is deeply involved in the local community and recognizes the pivotal role dedicated staff members play in the success of our clients and the agency as a team. Tasha strives to establish relationships built on trust, and a shared commitment to care in the home with her team and with clients and their families.
Tasha holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Phoenix in Health and Human Services and Management, and brings over 14 years of health care industry experience in home health, hospice and assisted living to her role as executive director at Anthem Home Care.
Advanced Caregiver Training and Certification
At Anthem Home Care, we maintain the highest standards in providing our care team with an extensive level of training and certification, which enables them to feel confident in their roles and in their ability to provide an exceptional level of care. While the average home care agency provides approximately ten hours of generic training to their staff, we equip our caregivers with over 120 hours of highly specialized in-home care training.
To this end, we are proud to partner with the Institute for Professional Care Education, a nationally renowned training and certification agency for caregiving professionals, to provide customized training programs for all of our caregivers.
Our specialized training program is provided in three levels:
- “Certified Caregiver” (Level 1): Includes a variety of caregiver training tools to sharpen skills.
- “Specialized Caregiver” (Level 2): Includes specialty training in Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and end-of-life care.
- “Master Caregiver” (Level 3): Includes advanced training in Parkinson’s disease, first aid, leadership, and more.
