Our Story

In 2012, the Guilianelle family and trusted friends with years of combined healthcare experience got together and agreed that there was a need for exceptional senior care Rockport and surrounding areas. From there, Anthem Home Care was created! With veterans among our founders, patriotism is of paramount importance in our culture and philosophy, and is threaded through everything we do to foster freedom and independence for the seniors we’re privileged to serve.

Our goal is to help seniors and their families feel at ease, knowing that we will provide the highest quality, fully trained and compassionate caregivers who will take care without taking charge. We truly are passionate about allowing plenty of time to listen to the older generation, for whom we have the greatest respect and admiration. We learn what’s important to them, and then work hard to make sure to honor their desired lifestyle, routines, and preferences.

Texas itself stands for independence, and with Anthem Home Care, seniors can feel confident in knowing they’ll maintain the security, stability, and freedom they deserve.

Our Leadership

Gail Guilianelle, Administrator

Gail Guilianelle, Administrator, is one of the founders of Anthem Home Care and brings more than a decade of senior care experience to her leadership role. Her career in home health care began in 2009 as a scheduler, and since then, she’s served in a variety of roles before partnering with family and trusted friends in opening the doors at Anthem in 2011.

Gail is instrumental in overseeing all of the day-to-day operations, making sure that the needs of each senior in our care are not just met, but exceeded. She also plays a vital part in caregiver training and development, and in matching each senior with a compatible caregiver to ensure a lasting bond.

Advanced Caregiver Training and Certification

At Anthem Home Care, we maintain the highest standards in providing our care team with an extensive level of training and certification, which enables them to feel confident in their roles and in their ability to provide an exceptional level of care. While the average home care agency provides approximately ten hours of generic training to their staff, we equip our caregivers with over 120 hours of highly specialized in-home care training.

Institute for Professional Care EducationTo this end, we are proud to partner with the Institute for Professional Care Education, a nationally renowned training and certification agency for caregiving professionals, to provide customized training programs for all of our caregivers.

Our specialized training program is provided in three levels:

  • “Certified Caregiver” (Level 1): Includes a variety of caregiver training tools to sharpen skills.
  • “Specialized Caregiver” (Level 2): Includes specialty training in Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and end-of-life care.
  • “Master Caregiver” (Level 3): Includes advanced training in Parkinson’s disease, first aid, leadership, and more.
